These Cleaning Service Terms of Service constitute a binding agreement between you (the "Customer") and MC Cleaning Services (the "Company") regarding the provision of residential and commercial cleaning services. By booking our cleaning services online or in person you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. ACCEPTANCE AND ELIGIBILITY

By booking our cleaning services you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age

  • You have legal authority to grant access to the property to be cleaned

  • You have the legal capacity to enter into this binding agreement

  • All information you provide is accurate, current, and complete

2. SERVICES

MC Cleaning Services provides professional residential and commercial cleaning services in San Diego, California including:

  • Standard Home Cleaning

  • Deep Cleaning

  • Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning

  • Post Construction Cleaning

  • Commercial / Office Cleaning

  • Airbnb / Vacation Rental Cleaning

  • Add-on services as selected at time of booking

The specific services, scope, frequency, and pricing are confirmed at time of booking. We reserve the right to modify service offerings and pricing at any time with reasonable notice.

3. SERVICE SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS

Standard cleaning includes:

  • Vacuuming and mopping all floors

  • Dusting all reachable surfaces

  • Kitchen countertops, sink, and outside of all appliances

  • Bathroom scrubbing — toilet, sink, shower exterior, mirror

  • Trash emptied and replaced

  • Light switches and door handles wiped

  • Bed making if clean linens are left out

  • Ceiling fans dusted

Unless specifically booked as add-ons standard cleaning does NOT include:

  • Inside oven

  • Inside refrigerator

  • Inside cabinets

  • Baseboards

  • Interior windows

  • Window blinds

  • Laundry

  • Dishes

  • Balcony or patio

  • Garage

  • Cleaning at heights requiring ladders above 2 steps

  • Moving heavy furniture or appliances

  • Exterior window cleaning above ground level

  • Cleaning of biohazardous materials

  • Cleaning in hoarding conditions or properties with excessive clutter

  • Pest control or infestation remediation

  • Carpet shampooing or upholstery cleaning unless specifically booked

Deep cleaning includes everything in standard cleaning plus:

  • Baseboards hand wiped throughout

  • Window sills and window frames

  • Door frames and door facings

  • Cabinet fronts hand washed

  • Inside microwave

  • Behind and under accessible furniture

  • Shower grout scrubbed

  • Light fixtures detailed

  • Hard to reach areas throughout

We reserve the right to refuse service or discontinue cleaning if conditions are unsafe or fall outside the agreed scope of work.

4. ADD-ON SERVICES

The following add-ons are available for an additional charge and must be selected at time of booking:

Add-ons requested on the day of service are subject to availability and team capacity and may incur an additional convenience fee. Deep cleaning and post construction require a custom quote — selecting these on the booking form will result in a follow-up from our team before your appointment is confirmed.

Inside cabinets pricing applies to empty cabinets. Occupied cabinets containing personal belongings require additional time and may be quoted separately.

5. PRICING

Residential base pricing:

  • Base price (1 bedroom / 1 bathroom): $78

  • Per additional bedroom: $26

  • Per bathroom: $20

Frequency adjustments applied to base rate:

  • Weekly: 5% discount

  • Biweekly: Standard base rate

  • Monthly: 1.5x base rate

  • One time standard clean: 1.5x base rate

  • One time deep clean: 2x base rate

  • Move-out standard: 2.5x base rate

  • Move-out deep clean: 3x base rate

Commercial pricing: All commercial cleaning services are quoted individually based on property size, frequency, and scope of work. Contact us at info@mccleansd.com for a custom quote.

Prices are subject to change. Existing recurring clients will receive 7 days written notice before any price changes take effect. We reserve the right to adjust pricing based on property size, condition, frequency, or additional services requested.

6. PAYMENT

  • Payment is due at time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing

  • Accepted payment methods: Credit/Debit card, Venmo Business, Zelle, and Cash

  • For recurring services your payment method may be retained on file and charged in advance of each scheduled service

  • Commercial invoices are due within 15 days of receipt

  • Late payments may result in suspension of recurring services

  • A $25 returned payment fee may apply for failed transactions

  • All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in these terms

7. BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION

  • All bookings are subject to availability and require confirmation from MC Cleaning Services

  • Submitting a booking form does not guarantee an appointment — all bookings require manual review and approval

  • You will receive confirmation via text or email once your appointment is approved

  • By submitting a booking form you agree to these Cleaning Service Terms in full

  • We reserve the right to decline any booking request at our discretion

8. CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING

  • Cancellations more than 48 hours before scheduled appointment: No charge

  • Cancellations within 48 hours of scheduled appointment: 25% of total service fee charged

  • Same day cancellations or no-shows: 50% of total service fee charged

  • Rescheduling more than 48 hours in advance: No charge

  • Rescheduling within 48 hours: Subject to availability and may incur a $25 rescheduling fee

  • For recurring services future appointments remain scheduled unless cancelled with proper notice

  • MC Cleaning Services may cancel or reschedule due to illness, emergency, severe weather, or circumstances beyond our control. Clients will be notified promptly and rescheduled at no additional charge

9. ACCESS TO PROPERTY

  • You are responsible for providing safe, clear, and timely access to the property at the scheduled appointment time

  • If our team arrives and cannot access the property without prior notice from you it will be treated as a same day cancellation and the applicable fee will apply

  • You must provide accurate access instructions, codes, or keys as needed

  • Keys, access codes, gate codes, and alarm codes provided to MC Cleaning Services will be handled with strict confidentiality and never shared with any third party

  • Keys will be returned upon request or upon termination of recurring services

  • We are not responsible for alarm activations caused by incorrect or outdated access information provided by you

  • We are not responsible for locksmith fees if you are locked out of your property

10. CONDITION OF PROPERTY

  • Our team provides cleaning services — we do not organize, sort, or dispose of personal belongings

  • Excessive clutter, hoarding conditions, or unsanitary conditions beyond reasonable cleaning scope may be quoted separately or declined

  • Our team reserves the right to refuse service if conditions are unsafe, involve pest infestation, biohazard materials, or pose a health risk to our staff

  • You must inform us of any health hazards present on the property including mold, asbestos, lead paint, or infectious diseases present in the household

  • In cases where service is refused due to undisclosed conditions a cancellation fee may apply

  • You should disclose any known hazards, pets, or special conditions at time of booking

11. PETS

  • You must disclose the presence of pets at time of booking

  • A pet surcharge of $25 applies to all homes with pets

  • For safety reasons we request that aggressive or unpredictable pets be secured in a separate area during cleaning

  • MC Cleaning Services is not responsible for pets that escape, are injured, or cause injury during a cleaning appointment

  • You are responsible for any injuries to our team members caused by your pets

  • Our team reserves the right to leave immediately if a pet poses a safety concern

12. DAMAGE AND BREAKAGE

MC Cleaning Services takes great care when cleaning your property. However accidents may occasionally occur.

Reporting:

  • All damage claims must be reported within 24 hours of completed service

  • Claims require photographic evidence and a detailed description

  • Claims reported after 24 hours may not be eligible for coverage

Coverage:

  • MC Cleaning Services carries general liability insurance for damages caused by our negligence during service

  • Resolution is limited to the lesser of repair or replacement cost or fair market value

Exclusions — we are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage or normal wear and tear

  • Items already damaged, cracked, or in fragile condition before our arrival

  • Items improperly stored or in unstable positions

  • Damage caused by undisclosed property conditions

  • Damage caused by Client-provided cleaning products

  • Fine art, antiques, collectibles, or heirlooms unless specifically agreed upon in writing

  • Items of purely sentimental value without documented market value

We recommend securing or storing fragile, irreplaceable, or high-value items before our team arrives.

13. THEFT POLICY

MC Cleaning Services maintains strict hiring standards and our team is covered under our business insurance and janitorial bond.

Reporting:

  • All theft claims must be reported within 7 days of the service in question

  • Theft claims require a valid police report

  • You must provide a copy of the police report and allow us the opportunity to investigate

Exclusions:

  • Cash, gift cards, or cryptocurrency

  • Jewelry or precious metals unless secured

  • Items claimed without proof of prior ownership

  • Items of purely sentimental value without documented market value

14. CLEANING PRODUCTS AND SUPPLIES

  • MC Cleaning Services brings all necessary professional cleaning supplies and equipment at no extra charge

  • If you prefer your own cleaning products they must be made available and clearly labeled at time of service

  • We are not responsible for damage caused by Client-provided cleaning products

  • We do not use bleach on colored surfaces, hardwood floors, natural stone, or delicate materials unless specifically requested and agreed upon in writing

  • We reserve the right to substitute products if Client-provided products are deemed unsafe or inappropriate

  • Additional fees may apply for specialty or eco-friendly products requested by the Client

15. PHOTOS

  • MC Cleaning Services may take before and after photos of cleaned areas for quality control and marketing purposes

  • Photos never include people, personal identifying documents, or sensitive personal items

  • If you do not wish for photos to be taken please notify us in writing at time of booking

  • By not opting out you grant MC Cleaning Services permission to use photos for marketing purposes including our website and social media

16. SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

  • If you are not satisfied with any area of your clean please contact us within 24 hours of the completed service

  • We will return to re-clean the specific area at no additional charge

  • The guarantee applies to originally booked services only — it does not cover services not included in the booking

  • The guarantee does not apply to pre-existing conditions or damage not caused by our team

17. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate contact, property address, and access information

  • Maintain a reasonably clean and safe working environment for our team

  • Secure all valuables, important documents, and fragile items before service

  • Remove or secure any items you do not want moved or cleaned

  • Inform us of any special concerns, fragile items, or areas requiring extra care

  • Disclose any property conditions that may affect service including pets, health concerns, and access issues

  • Provide adequate notice of any changes to scheduled services

  • Treat our team members with respect and professionalism

18. RECURRING SERVICES

  • Recurring clients agree to maintain a consistent schedule

  • Schedule changes must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance

  • Repeated last minute cancellations may result in removal from recurring schedule

  • MC Cleaning Services reserves the right to adjust recurring service pricing with 7 days written notice

  • Either party may cancel recurring services with 7 days written notice

19. COMMERCIAL SERVICES

  • Commercial cleaning contracts are governed by a separate written service agreement

  • All commercial clients must provide proof of property management authority or ownership before services begin

  • Commercial contracts require a minimum 30 day cancellation notice

  • MC Cleaning Services requires a certificate of additional insured for commercial contracts upon client request

  • Commercial pricing is custom quoted and not subject to the residential pricing schedule above

20. SERVICE PROVIDER INFORMATION

Staffing:

  • MC Cleaning Services will make reasonable efforts to send consistent team members for recurring services

  • We reserve the right to substitute team members as needed due to scheduling, illness, or other circumstances

  • All substitute team members are held to the same standards and training

Tipping:

  • Tips are appreciated but never required

  • Tips may be provided directly to team members or added to your payment

21. COMMUNICATIONS

By providing your phone number and email address you consent to receive communications regarding your bookings including:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders

  • Service updates or delays

  • Billing and payment notifications

  • Requests for feedback

You may also receive occasional promotional messages. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time by replying STOP to text messages or using the unsubscribe link in emails. Standard message and data rates may apply.

22. FORCE MAJEURE

MC Cleaning Services shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control including acts of God, severe weather, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other emergencies. In such cases we will reschedule your service at the earliest opportunity at no additional charge.

23. TERMINATION

By Customer:

  • You may discontinue services at any time by providing notice according to our cancellation policy

  • For recurring services you must cancel with proper notice to avoid charges for the next scheduled service

By Company: We may terminate services immediately for:

  • Non-payment

  • Unsafe working conditions

  • Verbal abuse or harassment of our team members

  • Violation of these terms

  • Providing false or misleading information at time of booking

24. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by California law:

  • Our total liability for any claims arising from these terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for services in the three months preceding the claim

  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages including lost profits or business interruption

25. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MC Cleaning Services and its team members from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your failure to disclose property hazards or conditions

  • Injuries occurring on your property due to conditions you created or failed to disclose

  • Your violation of these terms

  • False accusations against our team members

26. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Before initiating any formal dispute you agree to contact MC Cleaning Services directly to attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Small claims court actions may be pursued for claims within the court's jurisdiction.

27. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in San Diego County, California.

28. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

29. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Cleaning Service Terms together with our Website Terms of Service at mccleansd.com/terms and our Privacy Policy at mccleansd.com/privacy constitute the entire agreement between you and MC Cleaning Services regarding our cleaning services.

30. MODIFICATIONS

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. For existing recurring clients we will provide notice of material changes via email or text at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
